The 2022 Kia EV6 is a stylish, sporty electric vehicle with ultra-fast charging capability, a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive, and it comes with 1,000 kilowatt-hours of free charging at Electrify America charging stations. If that sounds like an intriguing EV to you, join the club — or perhaps stick around as we dig a bit deeper into what you get with a fully loaded 2022 Kia EV6 electric car.
The EV6 is available in three trim levels: Light (from $41,400), Wind ($47,500), and GT-Line ($51,700). The Light is the entry point, but the Wind and the GT-Line could both be considered range-toppers, with both getting an extra dose of luxury equipment and features. Those amenities include a choice of suede and artificial leather upholstery in place of cloth and artificial leather, Meridian premium surround sound audio, and an upgraded driver’s seat. The GT-Line also gets a range of standard active safety equipment, including Remote Smart Parking Assist, smart cruise control with machine learning, and more.
Both the Wind and the GT-Line also get a choice between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (the Light is rear-drive only) and a larger, higher-voltage 77.4-kWh battery pack. When fitted with AWD, the EV6 Wind and GT-Line are rated at 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque, but range drops from 310 miles (RWD) to 274 miles.
Both models also come with 19-inch alloy wheels, although the GT-Line can opt for 20-inch wheels. Both the Kia EV6 Wind and EV6 GT-Line accelerate to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, according to Kia, and can hit a top speed of 117 mph with AWD.
Because of the extra equipment and some unique appearance features, however, the GT-Line is priced about $4,000-$5,000 higher than an equivalent EV6 Wind. That means our quest to find the most fully loaded EV6 possible must go with the GT-Line. So if we tick all of the boxes we can to build the most luxurious, capable 2022 Kia EV6 possible. What does it have and how much does it cost?
To answer the second question first, a fully loaded EV6 costs $58,685. Here’s what you get with your fully loaded 2022 Kia EV6 GT-Line e-AWD:

And now for a closer look at some the 2022 Kia EV6’s feature highlights:
With a 350-kilowatt fast charger, the 2022 Kia EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in less than 18 minutes. Looked at another way, up to 70 miles of range can be added in as little as 5 minutes. That’s a lot quicker than you can charge from the 10.8-kilowatt onboard charger, but even that will take the battery from 10% to fully charged in 7 hours and 10 minutes.
As with some other EVs, the Kia EV6 is capable not only of being charged, but of using its battery pack to power or charge other things, like power tools, tailgating accessories, lights, or even another electric vehicle. The vehicle-to-load (V2L) connector is included with Wind and GT-Line models, offering both external and second-row under-seat connections.
For the first 3 years of ownership, Kia EV6 buyers will be able to use the Electrify America charger network for free, or up to 1,000 kWh worth of charging. That works out to about 4,000 miles of free electricity in the RWD model, or about 3,500 miles with the AWD version.
